GoFloppy Floppy Drive Emulator V2 - Amiga edition
GoFloppy is a FlashFloppy based floppy drive emulator, similar to a "Gotek" drive, that uses an SD card for floppy disk images. It is physically the same size as a 3.5" floppy disk and has the following features:
- 1.3" OLED display
- Jog dial to select disk images
- Simple slide switch to configure the drive ID
- Micro SD card slot for disk images
This new version is compatible with all the same machines as a Gotek drive, but now has an additional special adaptor for Amiga computers. This adaptor allows it to sit on top of the Amiga 500 / 600 / 1200 and a flex cable provides the data and power through the Amiga's vent. Not only that, but a switch on the GoFloppy allows you to switch between the internal drive and the GoFloppy as the primary drive in the Amiga (note that the internal drive is disabled when GoFloppy is the primary drive).
The v2 drive also uses a micro SD socket which is a push to lock / eject style.
The second photo shows the adaptor that goes inside the Amiga.
